FAQ

What does the name 'pecuniator' mean?

It is a fantasy name from the Latin "pecunia = money". It starts with p, like 'parqet' (the best portfolio management tool we are aware of), and the app is secure and will never transmit any data over the network.

Why is the program a desktop application?

We are primarily web developers. parqet.com has strict and state-of-the-art data protection requirements, and we don't want to compromise this principle, not even with anonymous data. We prefer not to handle any third-party data, so we made the tool a desktop app only. This way, no data is ever transmitted over the network.

Will there be a mobile version of the app?

No, we've decided against a mobile version for this application, mainly because the benefits do not justify the costs.

What does 'CC' mean in the exported spreadsheet?

'CC' stands for 'Country Code'.

Is the program actively maintained?

Since we have a paid account with parqet.com, the program might get updated to reflect any changes. It's possible that new features will be added, especially since parqet is considering its own API. However, these are plans for the future. It's crucial to understand that pecuniator is designed to provide extra features only. If these features become unnecessary, they won't be developed further. Pecuniator is not meant to compete but to complement by offering additional functions.

Why does the app cost money on the stores?

Developing software takes time, especially when aiming to distribute it through secure channels. We believe the fee is reasonable and it encourages further development and support when needed.
